Good things come to those who wait...

I was recently contacted by a young Photographer named LuLu McArdle who complimented me on some of the styling things i have recently done. we then got chatting and decided we should collaborate. So we met up for a coffee and talked concepts. After 2 hours we had some great ideas, we was even so excited we decided to go check out one of the locations we had both had our eye on for a while. After checking it out we both decided it was perfect for what we wanted. So we booked a shoot day in and both went our separate ways.

Before the shoot day we both thought it would be good to do a little test shoot to see what the light was like.

A very vintage day.

First of all today's outfit...

• White Peace + Love Studded Snapback
• Topshop tiger print sweater
• White string vest
• Drop crotch bottoms
• Vintage Denim Jacket

To be honest I didn't put much thought into this outfit, I just quickly chucked it on due to waking up late (I had time to quickly take a picture though, always time for a snap.) I feel what I put on really works and I enjoyed rocking this look today.

So today i took a visit to a nice little vintage shop in Bedford place, Southampton called Hepwright's Original Vintage. The reason for my visit was to finalize some outfits/ looks for an event i'm styling this Sunday, a live "vintage meets modern" makeover at Re:So Southampton.

After spending around 2 hours browsing the shop i finally had put together some great looks and was happy with my outcome.

Now i just have to wait till Sunday until i can switch up the models and style them with these "vintage meets modern looks".

Styling with a twist

Outfit Builds.

A Gothic look with an Urban Sports touch.

When creating this outfit I really wanted to mix two different styles to capture a unique look.

I decided to go with a Gothic look mixed up with a few urban statement pieces.

Rocking this look with the platforms heels would be perfect attire for a night out on the town, were as switching it up with some trainers brings a total different vibe to this look.

A Leather Luxe look with a Huf twist

With this look i really wanted to capture something manly and powerful. I doubled up on the leather to create  the effect of it being a all in one piece, I then finished it off with a little twist from some HUF socks and Dm's.

I added the HUF socks as i feel these socks are not often put with an outfit like this and also it finishes the look off nicely.

I got a little bored and played around on photoshop, tryed a couple of different things.

Today's outfit was inspired by the weather, I woke up and the sun was shining. Seeing as Pastel colours are really in at the moment I also based my outfit around that colour pallet.

It looks like I gave the double denim look, but the shorts actually are not denim.I used a lot of layers with this outfit to bring depth to it. I added the snapback and kicks to give a little urban feel to what I was wearing.

Double denim is a huge bold statement piece to this outfit which also brings together the Blue tie dye shirt, to break the outfit up I wore it with black skinnys and added a sleeveless black hoody and to top it off a black bowler hat. I felt I needed to give the outfit a bit of edge to add to the studs on the collar and bag so decided to wear Red Dr Martins.
